The root of America’s Cornyness? Through lab analysis, two east-coast college friends find out their body composition is primarily corn.  That’s right, corn.  This discovery leads them to America’s corn belt to farm their own acre of corn and track it’s life-cycle from cradle to grave.  What they find is that most of our fast food and factory food is a corn product derivative, including feed for our cattle, making them primarily corn as well.  What is the impact of so much corn?  What does it take to produce this kind of corn, and what has made corn “King” of the ag industry?

Here’s a very thorough overview on Sustainable Table dot com with a short clip and links to other resources like the King Corn website.

King Corn scored a 95% on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer and a surprisingly lower 78% audience rating.  I give it a full six pack because I really liked it.

So put some popcorn in the microwave and stream King Corn Netflix Watch Instant.
